Summer Associate Program
We are excited to welcome you to Lobb & Plewe’s Summer Associate Program. We pride ourselves on hiring great prospective attorneys and providing them with opportunities for professional development.
We are committed to offering you a rewarding summer experience. Our program offers challenging assignments in diverse practice areas, training, and networking opportunities to help you launch your career.
Work Assignments and Feedback
As a Summer Associate, you will receive a variety of substantive work assignments spanning our various practice areas, including estate and tax planning, litigation, real property transactions, entity formations, and corporate/business transactions. If you are interested in focusing on a particular practice area, please let us know. We are vested in helping you to hone your particular interests. You will also be offered the opportunity to attend client meetings and may additionally have the opportunity to attend hearings, depositions, or other formal or informal opportunities to interact with clients.
Your work product will be evaluated by the assigning attorney upon completion and you will receive feedback and recommendations. Our firm embraces an open-door policy, and you are encouraged to ask questions as they arise. Any offers for full-time employment will be communicated after the conclusion of the summer program.
Training
We provide our Summer Associates with the opportunity to learn by doing: we will assign you real-life, hands-on, billable client projects, covering a diverse area of practice areas. You will receive feedback on your work product either verbally or in writing.
Social Events
Our summer program provides you various fun opportunities to get to know our attorneys, including a summer barbecue, lunch meetings, all-firm meeting, sporting events, and a day at the Del Mar races.
Expectations
We expect our Summer Associates to bill at least six (6) hours per workday, Monday through Friday. You will have the option of working from our Temecula office or our Corona office (or a combination of both) three (3) days out of the workweek. You will otherwise have the option of working remotely if you desire. We will endeavor to provide you reasonable advance notice of client meetings or other activities we would like you to attend, such that you can plan which days to be at the office accordingly.
